Mountain Biking and cycling in general are experiencing a renaissance in recent years.  Global issues are impacting the growth of cycling; climate change, alternative energy and the pursuit of healthier life styles have all resulted in growth in cycling participation and increased expectations for greater cycling infrastructure development. These measures are transforming societal values as more people embrace cycling for both transportation and recreation.

The cycling and tourism industries are merging to create new opportunities and reach new markets.  These progressive organizations have contributed significantly to the growth in mountain bike tourism in BC.
